2) The second way you can get a website online quickly and with little or no outlay is to use free website design and hosting software. Just type 'free website' into Google and have a look at what's on offer. With many of these products you don't have to download anything and you won't even have to pay for a domain name and hosting. Does that sound too good to be true? Well, yes and no.

In return for all that free stuff, you won't have any control of the advertising that goes on your site and you won't own your domain name - it will be a subdomain of the promoting company. The number of pages you can have and the features you can use will also be extremely limited, which means to expand and improve your site you will need to upgrade to a paid-for premium service.

However, this is a good way to get started and 'get your feet under the table.' After all, you won't have lost anything. So, there you have two ways you can set up your own website today. Both are quick, easy and cheap (or free!) and with both these methods you will be guided every step of the way.
