You've heard of AdSense right? Well if not it is the ads from Google that can be found seemingly everywhere online. These ads can take the form of images, text ads or just links to websites. They are part of the pay per click way of advertising and are a great way for you to earn some extra money with your website.

Some people now seem to steer clear of these ads as they know that they are just a way for somebody else to make money online. But if you place these ads correctly and make sure that they are relevant to whatever content is on your site then you can make quite a bit of money from them.

I have found the best places for these ads are usually just under the title of the site or perhaps in the middle of the content on your site. Another good idea would be to place an ad in image form on the sidebar.

It could not be easier to use AdSense you just generate an ad code and simply insert it onto your site by cutting and pasting the code. Once you have done this the ads will automatically start to appear on your site.

You can have these ads as long as you wish by just leaving the code on your site. The only drawback is that you cannot choose which ads will appear so when you generate an ad code it has to be relevant to the site content in order not to be out of place.

Every time somebody clicks one of the ads it will earn you money. The amount of money can differ for each ad and can range from a few cents to a couple of dollars depending on the ads. So you never know upfront how much each ad will pay.

Some people will inevitably try to cheat by placing the code on their site and once the ads appear will try to click on them.

This is definitely not recommended. If you read the terms and conditions when signing up for AdSense you will see that this is strictly forbidden. This will certainly get you banned from the program and lose you any chance of earning that extra money.
