It is a pleasure to write about things that I am passionate about and this article is one such occasion. I have experienced some success recently with SEO and am pleased to share it with other affiliate marketers. In the past two weeks I have made $1100 which isn't going to pay off the house but it is a massive step in the right direction! I was very frustrated for a long time, I couldn't understand why my sites weren't ranking and pretty much gave up. I have now learnt that it actually isn't very hard to optimise a website, you just need to know exactly how to do it. One thing I have learned is that when you install a WordPress blog using Fantastico, the privacy setting is defaulted to private so nobody will see your site. This astounded me as I would never have considered it but it is a great example of what you don't know, you just don't know. Now, every time I set up a site the first thing I do is go into my settings and tick that little box that says allow search engines to see my site. I have also learned that there are several key things that Google likes to see including the correct meta tags, keywords in the description and in the content. There are also some very clever plug ins that enable you to optimise further and get targeted links back to your site. The best thing is that I can now set up a website and have it optimised in 45 minutes. That doesn't include researching domains and keywords but fortunately I have also come across some very good methods to make sure your keywords are commercially viable. Overall I have learned more in the past 6 weeks than I have in the last 5 years and am now confident that I can make a decent living online. I am very grateful to the people who have helped me in this journey and want to further impart that knowledge to others. If you want to educate yourself in more ways to develop your online business this is a great way to add to your skillset. I don't think you should ever stop learning, Click Here if you agree.
