The more you optimize your AdSense site for the search engines the more money you'll make with AdSense. Letting the Google bots know exactly what your site is about will help them to show the most relevant ads possible to your visitors. The more relevant the ads are, the more clicks you'll get. And in the AdSense world, clicks are all it takes for you to make money!

Use Keywords - Of course the key factor in all of this is your use of keywords. You should use one keyword or keyword phrase per article and it should be mentioned in your title and 2 to 3 times throughout the body of your content.

Images - The Google bots can't read images so it's important to remember that when you use images in your articles you need to label them, using keywords, with an 'Alt tag' so the bots will know what they are.

Formatting - Use your < h1 > and < h2 > tags to emphasize titles and subtitles - and make sure you use your keyword. The bots recognize these tags and understand that they're important so they pay special attention to these.

Keep all other clutter out of the sidebars - especially if it's not relevant to your keywords. For example, if your blog is about Dog Training and you put a button in your sidebar that advertises web hosting you're going to confuse the bots and the ads you get will be less relevant to your dog training blog.

Content - Make sure you stay on topic with all of your content. And make sure that content is relevant to your keywords. For example, if your keyword is "housebreaking your dog" than your article needs to provide information about housebreaking your dog - NOT litterbox training your cat. Veering away from your keyword confuses the search engines and your AdSense ads will be less relevant.
