Before you will begin to see income, you will need to practice and almost become an expert in a few important skills. Sure you may get lucky once in a while, but these skills are what you want to build your business with so you cannot count on luck alone.

The first skill you will need to develop is how to build a nice looking website that actually converts visitors to customers. That may sound like an easy task but it is actually one of the most difficult things to learn. Studies have shown that many people will leave a website within seconds of seeing a website if it is not visually pleasing to them.

Next, you will have to work on the Search Engine Optimization or SEO for your website. SEO is a term used to describe a series of things you need to do to your website that will help the search engines recognize it and send traffic to it. Since traffic to your website is vitally important to the success of your business you will need to get as much traffic as possible. Among others, SEO is one of the best ways to get high traffic without having to spend money to get it.

Note: While traffic to your website is vitally important to your success, it does not always equate to sales. Even if you are able to generate a lot of traffic to your website promotion, statistics show that you may see as little as 1 in 200 actually buy your product. The reasons for this vary.
