GA - Top Ten AdSense Tips

There is much written about Google AdSense on the Internet both good and bad. The majority of the good stuff written is by those earning a decent living from it. The bad news about AdSense tends to be written by those who have tried to cheat the system and got banned from the program.

So I will cut straight to the chase and give you my top ten tips for the Google AdSense program:

1.) Read the Terms and Conditions before even starting your application - If you do not you most likely get rejected or your site banned for breaking them soon after.

2.) Content is king - Do not both applying until you some decent original content on your website. e.g. If you just cut and post a load of articles from a directory such as this one, Google will just view your site as duplicate content and turn you down

3.) Take note of step 1.) above - If you have read the Terms and Conditions you will have noticed that this is a legally binding contract between you and them. Infringe this at your peril.

4.) Never ever post the standard AdSense code, no one will click on it and you will just get disappointed at making no money.

5.) Read the Terms and Conditions yet again, and remember what you can and cannot talk about in the public domain about AdSense. e.g. you can discuss earnings but not CTR.

6.) Make sure you have a privacy policy for your site and contact details as they are both mandatory for the AdSense programme.

7.) Avoid forum sites where others volunteer to click your adverts if you click on theirs. This is one of the fastest ways to get banned!

8.) If you post on forums then take care as to what sites you put in your signature. If you have a real money maker then why share it with the copycats?

9.) Never click on your own AdSense ads. Nor encourage others to do so. Report click fraud immediately to the AdSense team if you think you may have been a victim of a malicious attack.

10.) If in doubt about anything to do with AdSense then email the Google AdSense team, they may take a while to reply but they are human and will respond.
