A few years ago, I worked in a retail store for a major electronics chain. I was impressed when I went to one of their sales meetings. They did not try to drill high-pressure tactics into our minds. Instead, they talked more about listening to the customer. Find out what they really want. Then give them a product that meets their needs. They told us that we would have to be familiar with the products in order to do that.

Now, we didn't have to buy those products ourselves, but we could open up the packages, and we could learn something about them as a part of our work day.

The same goes with internet marketing. Get all the information you can about the product that you are an affiliate for.
